During 2021, the Safety and Security Portfolio continued to implement its mandate. The primary goal of the National Council safety and security management system is, to the extent possible, to ensure the safety and security of members of the Jamat, Jamatkhanas, Jamati properties and assets, and Jamati activities and events.
Recently, the Dar es Salaam team visited the Western Region and carried out Premises Vulnerability Assessment of the Jamatkhanas as a part of the normal assessment processes. The same assessments were previously conducted last year in other regions, and the team will visit Zanzibar and Zambia in the new year.
As a part of the team’s portfolio, the team also partakes in intercommunity social events and meetings to build relationships and discuss best practices on safety and security. The video below is a highlight of some of the team’s activities this past year.
