The Zanzibar Jamat came together to celebrate Eid-e-Navroz on 17th March, at the JK social hall, after completion of jamati ceremonies.
The local council organized a dinner and dance party, in collaboration with IYSC and WAP Portfolio’s. Famous musicians from DSM, Zahir Mawani, Rukhsar Varda and Riaz Harji, graced the occassion to make it a memorable one. For almost 3 non-stop hours, the singers performed live for the jamat. The sound set-up was done by Fayaz Khimji of ProAudio.
Council leadership and porfolio members put in a collateral effort to make this a very sucessful event, for the large number of jamati members from Zanzibar, Dar es Salaam, Kenya and Canada, who turned out to support and participate in the programme.
